Was to Trinity yesterday to hear Dr. Simon Hodson speaking on “Virtual Environments for Teaching and Research in Early Modern Studies” at the Long Room Hub Methods Seminar. He shared his experiences with the MA programme in Political Studies at the University of Hull where seminars were conducted through their Sakai wiki. He has led a number of further projects that have been using Access Grid in collabourative publishing which he also thoughtfully reported on. His talk was well received and generated extensive discussion.
We went to Ely’s afterward for a wonderful meal and then for a few pints at Donoghue’s and then the Porterhouse microbrewery. A very Dublin evening.
