Video­Jug pub­lished a won­der­ful instruc­tional video today on how to give a great man-to-man hug. It’s superb. The site provides many help­ful (real) etiquette videos, but and even this one in its way is meant to be of social aid. The terse sub­titles just add to the mirth of this little piece. For a few good belly laughs…

Digg had a ref­er­ence to the Chinese sub­titles for Star Wars III oth­er­wise know by its sub­title Back­stroke of the West. Need­less to say that post­ing sent that server down. Luck­ily there was a much earlier web­site that cap­tured occa­sional screen shots and their accom­pa­ny­ing Chinese trans­la­tion of the dia­logue. This was simply too funny not make ref­er­ence to.

Now talk­ing about ser­i­ous luck ;-) From Michele comes this abso­lutely amaz­ing story, one which I am sure is just mak­ing its way to all the major news out­lets, but so visu­ally stun­ning. Appar­ently a rab­bit farmer in Ger­many has man­aged to breed a super sized Ger­man Gray rab­bit. He has fur­ther con­vinced the North Koreans that this is the staple live­stock to ‘meat’ their diet­ary needs. I attach pic­tures as this has to be seen to be believed. The BBC has picked it up in video as well the Times. The rab­bits weigh in at about 7kg and are more than three times the size of the aver­age rab­bit offer­ing sur­pris­ingly nutri­tious and fat-reduced meat. Amaz­ing.

OK. It’s hit hit every front page in Christen­dom in the last 24 hours and with one fell swoop, Jobs was able to eclipse the entire CES show, RIM stock took a huge hit and Cisco has announced its suing Apple for trade­mark infringe­ment. The iPhone inter­face has Apple fan­boys drool­ing (yes, myself included) and this has to be the most ingeni­ous reac­tion…a cutout model of the iPhone that can keep us happy until we can actu­ally get our hands on a ship­ping model some­time in the next dec­ade. Brilliant.

This was just too funny not to post…rather a cause to pause for second thought if you are think­ing about light­ing up in a pub­lic wash­room.
